Abstract

|
Abdominal or ovarian pregnancy has been, regarded as a rare condition that frequently imposes diagnostic problem:
The: present communication is concerned with the experience with two cases of abdominal pregnancy, as diagnosed and treated at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, St. Mary´s Hospital, Catholic Medical College in the month of May 1965.
A review of pertinent literature is included as well. .
Case I was 7th month of gestation. and contained a dead male fetus in breech presentation.
The. fetus measured 37.5cm in height, and 1,250 gram in weight. No, a abnormality or deformity could be seen:
Case 11 was 4th month of gestation and contained a dead male . fetus which measured 11.6 cm in., height and 108 gram .in weight without- demonstrable deformity.
In each case, the fetus was removod with placenta and, exstirpation of the uterus followed. Both cases were considered to be secondary to ruptured early tuba] pregnancy.
